I’m very excited to be part of the fantastic staff here at Evergreen Elementary School. It’s truly an honor to be a part of such a fantastic school. Great things happen here on a daily basis. This year marks my 23rd year in public education and my 8th here at Evergreen. I spent my first 9 years as a teacher and Assistant Principal with Richmond Public Schools. I came to Chesterfield in 2005 as the Associate Principal at Hening Elementary School where I served as principal until July of 2011.
I’m also a proud product of the CCPS system, graduating from Meadowbrook High School back in 1986. I live in the Evergreen school district; both of my children attended Evergreen. Both of my children now attend Midlothian High School. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Masters in Teaching, and a postgraduate administration certification, all from VCU. Go Rams!
My goals for the students of Evergreen center on preparing them for their future. During these crucial formative years of their education, it is important that we teach them to think and problem solve well beyond the standardized tests. We will push every student to reach his/her potential on a daily basis, while also making school a fun and happy experience for them!
I will continue working closely with the families of Evergreen and work to build strong relationships within our community. Together we will do great things!
