Evergreen Elementary students learned a lot during a visit from the mobile classroom of Southland Dairy Farmers. For example, the average cow weighs 1,200 pounds and can smell food up to 6 miles away. Each dairy cow is milked two or three times daily, producing 6-8 gallons of milk.
